Another old riddle

This one I read in a Laura Ingalls book.

A housefull or a hole full, you cannot collect a bowl full.  What is it?

That totally sounds like something from a Laura Ingalls book. I’m going to guess love.

LOVE!! Totally remember that from Laura Ingalls book. As a side note: did you know you can visit her birthplace and various homesteads in them midwest? I read about the ‘trail’ in a magazine at the doctors office. Now I want to do this.

My friend actually did a vacation where they followed in the footsteps of the Ingalls family. She has a cool photo display that shows the covers of the books and then photos they took of the actual place–like Plum Creek.
