Is there a volume control on here somewhere?

Saturday morning found Mom and Melody at the car wash, since Mom’s car was positively filthy a little dirty from the smattering of rain in the past couple weeks.  So, we enjoyed watching the cars go into the bathtub (the washing gauntlet) and then be dried off and prettied up by the hard working men of the Cypress Car Wash.

As little girls tend to be observant of their environment, I encouraged her to look around and tell me what she was seeing.  Melody responded in the full volume of a 2 year old excited about life!

“A bird is flying over there!”

“That man is sitting on the wall!”

“That lady has a big butt!”

Mom: Melody, you can’t say things like that!

Louder, “that lady has a big butt!”

Mom (trying not to laugh): Melody, shhh!

Even louder, “but that lady has a really big butt!”

Excuse me mister, is my car ready????

  1. I remember Grammie doing that. I think she did it to make herself feel okay because the heavy ladies that she pointed our were always heavier than her.
