Over at The Glamorous Life Association, I recently read about a very sentimental-yet-21st-century plan for a dude to propose to his girlfriend via the internet. Since I love weddings and I like to meddle want everyone to be happy, of course I think it’s a wonderful idea! You can read Marcy’s post about it by clicking the link above, but in a nutshell, the fellow wants there to be hundreds, nay thousands, of blog posts about love and marriage that will help convince his lady love to bind her life with his.
Hopefully she won’t need that much convincing.
What I’m asking you, fellow bloggers, is to join up in these romantic shenanigans! If you have a blog, on March 24, 2009, visit The Glamorous Life Association and leave a link on the “Mr Linky” thing that tracks back to a blog post of yours with some sort of advice/anecdote/warning about marriage. It can be funny, it can be sappy, just make it yours. And if you aren’t married, well, I don’t know what to tell you. Talk about your favorite married couple and why they seem to be happy. If we all join in, we can help Marcy reach the goal of hundreds of links specifically for this web proposal.
How can you pass that up? A guy who is techy and romantic, all rolled into one! Kind of reminds me of my own techy husband. Without all the romance stuff.
For those of you who don’t have a blog, please publicize this among your friends, family, coworkers, store clerks, random people on the street and various and sundry others who will listen long enough to hear about this really remarkable event and get them to read, comment and/or blog about it. Plus, if you want to be included without having to set up a blog, you are invited to post a blurb in the comments below this post and I will include them in my March 24 post. Now someone put on The Pretenders Message of Love and let’s get this love-fest started!
Very important! If you want to participate in the blog linking, you need to email Marcy at marcyphotos @ roadrunner dot com.
