What’s new?

We’ve been pretty busy lately doing all kinds of stuff! It seems there is never a dull moment when you have a baby, a dog, two cats and two parents! Melody is doing quite well and just yesterday we felt the first little tip of a tooth in her mouth. Holy cow! Actually it’s about time, she’s been drooling for at least 22 of her 23 weeks. She’s pretty good at rolling over 180s and getting a little better at 360s. She’s doing well on her cereal, fruits and veggies. Peas are actually one of her preferred veggies although she LOVES squash, hands down her favorite. She also loves pears and applesauce. Pretty much all the sweet foods are her favorites. (I just don’t know where she gets it!) She’s sitting pretty well on her own too. Certainly, she wobbles and flops over from time to time, but with Mom and Dad’s help, she is getting better every day! Last weekend we went to the OC Fair and she enjoyed the little sand pit thing they have there. Sadly, her drool turned it into mud and she had to have a bath because so much grit was stuck to her. She did great though, took a good nap right in the Carnival of Products building while Mom and Auntie shopped. She “enjoyed” all the Kodak moments, and I’ll be posting pictures soon. Her favorite part of the fair was tasting vanilla ice cream, no question there. At first she didn’t know what to do with it but soon she was reaching for the cone to pull it in her mouth! Don’t worry, she only had a couple licks. That’s about it for now. Pictures to be posted soon, I promise.

  1. Hooray for vanilla ice cream! The first taste of ice cream is a special day in any girl’s life…
Can’t wait to see the pics, I am sure they’ll be as cute as always!

  2. Some photos came via snail mail on a disk fom Auntie. I like the one with the sunflower. Melody was all for grabbing it and stuffing the pettals in her mouth. I’m not sure it would have tasted that good.
